Our Philosophy
Strategic Business Events has been created to organise events for individuals who want to better understand their future commercial landscape.
The coming few years are loaded with change for most organisations. They will challenge much of the received wisdom on the way we interact with our various stakeholders. As with all such change there will ultimately be winners and losers.
The same is true for us and we aim to be ahead of the rest of the field. The new ideas we have for how an event really works are touched on below, but our simple ambition is to raise your expectations of what can be achieved in one or two days at a business event.
Strategic Business Events was founded with the aim of putting together conferences of real excellence that address recent and emerging developments in a number of different business environments
These are not events that will be repeated year on year, but true market monitors - conferences that will provide tangible returns for the management challenges relevant to particular industries and time periods. This means that the conferences will always follow the industries and roles of real complexity where the margin for error is slight and the scale of opportunity is high. The topics we look at concern the future commercial landscapes in retail, the food industry, law and financial services.
This boutique approach enables us to concentrate on the issues that really matter. If you believe there is something we should cover then please let us know
This site provides details of forthcoming events. If you would like any more information please contact us.
Empowering our clients
The opening question for every event is, 'How will we make those attending our event more proficient in this topic area than their competitors?' Competitive advantage is the key consideration in times of change and we need to make sure we give you the tools to achieve it.
Creating the perfect learning environment
There are two inherent challenges here: The first is the atmosphere - something often much overlooked - the right room, how to light it properly, maintain the right temperature, the right food, etc. This is ultimately within our control and we will make sure that it is perfect every time. The second is a little more difficult and varies from event to event - how do you identify the knowledge you need to impart and how is it best transmitted? If you are going to do this properly you can't start by saying 'Who are the 9 best speakers in his field?' - you have to dig a little deeper.
For every event we will properly research the learning objectives of those coming to the event and make sure they're met.
A focus on the needs of the individual
We are looking to improve things and one of the key failings of most conference companies is getting individuals involved. The techniques we use are listed below but be rest assured that we understand every person attending one of our events has a different agenda.
· Working table sessions
· Streamed work-groups
· Questions boxes
· Contact details of the speakers/experts associated with each event
· Event format changes
· Hypothetical case study working
· Tutoring opportunities
· Tailored seating arrangements
· Information packs before and after each event
· Online support sites
